So it’s a personal preference but I believe you learn more through laughter than any other experience. I’m a huge fan of edutainment and try to build it into every presentation I do. If you’ve attended my presentations you know that sometimes this leads to disastrous results. Today’s website pick, www.thatsnotcool.com, is a PSA site so you might not consider it edutainment, but I’m hooked.
First, I’m amazed that TXT messaging has reached the state to need a PSA. Second, the presentation to the target audience is perfect. Third, the concept of interactive (choose your own adventure) video is simple, yet elegant. Last but not least, the lack of text-based content is intriguing.
That’s Not Cool isn’t ground breaking technology, but it provides one of the best example of combining and utilizing technology that I’ve experienced in a long time. If you have a message to convey, there is a lot to be learned from this experience.
